Whole fishes are a perfect choice for large families, but it is a bit difficult to handle at home and takes more time — they need to be descale, gutted and rinsed to ensure they are properly cleaned. On the contrary, buying a filleted fish will be easier to store and freeze, making it an ideal choice for smaller families. Fish fillet can also be stored longer and are easier to prepare (there is no need to worry about bones when eating too!).

Then, heat up the pan with a quarter cup corn oil. Next, coat the fillets with corn flour and pan fry until it turns golden brown; repeat this process until the fillets are all fried. After that, move on to prepare the sauce. Leave aside a tablespoon of oil in the pan. In the same pan, stir-fry some ginger, garlic, spring onion, MAGGI® Oyster Sauce, light soya sauce and water until fragrant. Add in corn flour to thicken the sauce for a tasty gravy that will go well with rice. Lastly, stir in the fried fish fillets and the dish ready to serve!

Coat fish fillet with MAGGI® CukupRasa™. Then, heat pan with ¼ cup corn oil.
Next, coat fish with corn flour and pan fry until golden brown. Repeat until fish is finished.
Leave aside 1 tablespoon of oil in the pan. In the same pan, stir-fry ginger, garlic, spring onion, MAGGI® Oyster Sauce, light soya sauce and water until fragrant.
Add in corn flour to thicken the sauce. Stir in the fish and serve immediately.
