Whether served alongside grilled fish, roasted chicken, or simply enjoyed with rice, Sambal Tumis Tuhau is a quintessential dish at any Kaamatan feast. Let us learn how to make this delectable dish. The first step of this recipe is to saute blended shallots and garlic until it becomes slightly dry and fragrant. Add 3 packs of MAGGI® Sambal Tumis and continue to fry until the oil separates. Next, add a tablespoon of sugar, a teaspoon of tamarind stock and half a cup of water. Let it simmer for a bit and mix in the 10 stalks of sliced tuhau. Be sure to stir until everything is mixed well. Once the mixture is cooked, turn off the heat and mix it together with half a cup of fried anchovies. All done! Using this recipe, prepare this delicious dish to serve during Kaamatan and enjoy the delicious and flavourful Sabah cuisine with your loved ones.
