No matter what your cooking method is, be it steaming the fish to retain the silky, smooth texture of the meat or fry it for a light, crunchy outer skin; the sauce is one of the most important elements to make a fish taste good.

Miss dining out at restaurants? Feast at home with this simple sweet and sour fish recipe that combines sweet and savoury that could whet anyone’s appetite! Firstly, thaw your fish, heat a pan with some oil and deep fry or pan fry the fish until cooked. Leave the fish aside on a serving plate, then prepare the sweet and sour fish gravy. Saute some yellow onion, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf and bird's eye chilli until the oil separates. Add in MAGGI® Chilli Sauce, MAGGI® Tomato Ketchup, MAGGI® CukupRasa™, tomatoes and water and let it simmer for 3 minutes. Be generous with the condiments as you want a flavourful sauce that goes well with white rice even on its own! Lastly, pour the sauce over the fish and garnish it with coriander leaves or spring onions.
