Yee Sang is an important part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Originating from Malaysia, this salad is enjoyed during the New Year and symbolizes abundance, prosperity, and vigor. This recipe brings a twist to the classic dish by using laksa. Make this delicious Prosperity Laksa Yusheng today using this simple recipe. A Yusheng dish consists of various components on a plate that are to be tossed together by everyone. The first component of this recipe is the noodles. Boil 3 packets of MAGGI® Laksa Warisan noodles for 3 minutes, then soak them in cold water and set aside. Next, mix the noodles with 1 packet of its seasoning and set it aside. The next component is the shrimp. Simply, blanch the shrimp and set aside. For the next component, mix 4 eggs with a bit of MAGGI® CukupRasa. In a wok, heat oil and spread the egg mixture. Fry until the egg is cooked. Take it off the heat and let it cool enough to roll it. Then, cut the rolled egg into slices. For the sauce, blend pineapple with a bit of water. Then, add the blended pineapple in a pot and mix in honey and 2 packets of the MAGGI® Laksa Warisan seasoning. Simmer the sauce until it thickens slightly and set it aside. Lastly, chopped carrots, Japanese cucumber, spring onion, and kantan flower into slices as the final component. Now, arrange all the components on a plate. Serve with some fried wanton skin, sesame seeds, some kasturi lime juice, and the sauce. Ring in the new year with abundance and prosperity by tossing this delicious Laksa Yusheng!
