Although it is called root, the lotus root actually refers to the bulb or rhizome of the lotus plant. Cut into the lotus root to reveal the flower-like design which makes this Stir-fried Lotus Root with Celery more appealing. Follow this recipe to make this spectacular dish. Like any stir fry, this dish is really easy to prepare. First, prep the vegetables. Cut the lotus root, celery, and carrot into slices. Then, blanch all the cut vegetables and set aside. Then, heat a bit of cooking oil and saute some minced garlic. Add some water, a tablespoon of MAGGI® Oyster Sauce, 2 teaspoons of MAGGI® Concentrated Chicken Stock, sugar, and simmer. Next, add scallops and continue to simmer until the scallops are cooked and st it aside. Now, saute the blanched vegetables and the cloud fungus. Give everything a stir and add the scallops with the sauce from earlier. Add a potato starch solution to thicken the gravy.
