Peel the hard part of banana blossom until the soft part are seen.

In a pot, bring the water to a boil and add the banana blossom. Cook until it is tender. Toss and set aside. Once cool, thinly slice the banana heart.

In a bowl, add the pounded red onion, pounded garlic, pounded red chilli and pounded cili padi together with the banana blossom, toasted coconut paste, boiled shrimp, sliced onion and lime juice to taste.
