No vermicelli soup is as great as the north side with spicy solid meat soup. This is a dish that symbolizes the culinary greatness of northern Malaysia.

  • Step1

    30 Min
    Soak the vermicelli noodle with water and turmeric powder for 30 minutes. Strain and blanch until cooked.

    10 Min
    In soup pot, add water, onion, star anise, cinnamon, beef, beef bones and MAGGI Chicken Stock Cube. Let it boil with medium heat until the beef is thoroughly cook.

    2 Min
    Take out the lean beef, and set aside to cool. (slice beef to serve with noodle)
  • Step4

    10 Min
    In a pan, heat oil and add in onion, garlic, ginger, soup spices and lemongrass. Stir fry until oil is separated.

    Add in the paste into the beef stock, stir and let it boil.

    Serve beehoon with hot soup and condiments.
