Eggs can liven up a meal in many ways, served in different styles all over the world. In Malaysia, eggs have been served creatively in many ways, accompanying classic meals beloved by many now. For instance, we have egg sambal, which combines the delicious heaty kick of a spicy sauteed paste with sliced hard-boiled eggs. Leftover eggs cooked for nasi lemak or earned from weddings are not wasted if you whip up this recipe to be eaten with rice the next day. Some home cooks also love to include eggs in dishes with vegetables, such as asparagus with salted eggs or stir-fried long beans with eggs.
But it’s just as lovely to serve fresh hot eggs on its own, whipped and cooked tender as an omelette or fried just like that for a sunshiny sunny-side-up egg that you can eat with rice or toast. A good omelette is famous because it is simple and quick to make, along with its flexibility to go with many servings. Are you looking for a quick and delicious breakfast? Just whip up a plate to be eaten with crunchy hot toasts in the morning. If you want a simple lunch, you can enjoy a serving of omelette with a plate of hot rice. Serve omelettes however you like, and encourage yourself to be creative with it, like making a murtabak MAGGI® or an omelette wrap.
This recipe elevates the usual basic omelette to a notch, and so you can serve yourself something simple yet tasty. This Egglicious recipe includes the exquisite flavours of greens, like spring onion, chillies, and tomatoes, with a nice seafood touch from shrimps.
