Chicken dishes have become a steady favourite among Malaysians and continues to grow in popularity for many reasons. Almost everyone makes chicken dishes everyday because they love chicken so much. One reason is that chicken is one of the more affordable protein sources that is widely accessible as compared to others. Not to mention, chicken also contains other vital nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Whether it is cooked in goulash, curry, kurma, rendang, soup or fried, they are all unique and are popular choices! Chicken dishes are particularly favoured during festive seasons such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year and Deepavali Day. If there is a gathering like a wedding feast, it would almost be mandatory to serve chicken dishes to the guests. Ayam masak merah or fried chicken are among the popular dishes. Fried chicken is already relatively easy to prepare but MAGGI® is bringing a rather special fried chicken recipe to share, the Kam Heong Chicken Recipe. Just by the name of it, it is obvious that this recipe is the cuisine of Chinese origin and is also widely accessible in Muslim Chinese restaurants. The Kam Heong Chicken Recipe is similar to soy sauce chicken in which there is black sauce and a spicy kick that makes it ever so appetising. The Kam Heong Chicken Recipe is irresistibly delicious even though the preparation time that it takes is relatively short and the procedure is quite simple. Here are the quick and easy steps to prepare the Kam Heong Chicken Recipe, first is to fry the chicken that has been marinated with rice flour, turmeric powder and of course the MAGGI® CukupRasa™ to season it. Then prepare a mixture with ingredients such as water, curry powder, sweet soy sauce, light soy sauce, sugar and MAGGI® CukupRasa™ made from fresh onions and spices. There is no need to add any salt - just sprinkle and cook so that it tastes better! Then prepare the stir-fried ingredients such as the onion and pounded garlic. When frying the chicken, make sure to pour in the oil first so the chicken doesn't dry out. And for those who want that extra kick of heat in their dish, just sprinkle in more curry powder in your sauce mixture. Pair this Kam Heong Chicken Recipe with some fluffy white rice and you are done! Ready to be enjoyed with all your family and friends.
